The Cross Memorial Chapel reflects a single theme: God’s Love for the World.  The stained glass window behind the altar of the sanctuary, just over the sliding glass doors to our Japanese garden, is called, “The Rainbow Window.”  Our artists drew inspiration for this window from the African American spiritual, And the Love Came a –Tricklin' Down and from the rainbow in the story of Noah (the first torchbearer in our Torchbearer Windows).  As one stands back in our sanctuary and views this window, he or she can feel the golden rays of God’s love trickling down through the rainbow of diversity and coming to focus on our circular altar.  One can sense the rich diversity reflected in each droplet that falls.  In a sense, during worship, we place our joys and concerns on our altar and bask in the light of God’s multidimensional love.
