Our Interim Minister is
Reverend CHRISTY NEWTON. She is an ordained minister in the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and recently completed her Ph.D.
at the Graduate Theological Union. She has served a number of
churches in a variety of capacities, including interim ministry.
She lives in Oakland with her partner, Jeanne Loveless, who is also a
minister.
Rev. Newton was impressed by Northbrae's commitment to diversity and our vision for using this transition time to move forward. She feels that her skills in working with people of all ages, organizing and leading groups in collaborative ways and communicating with people in ways that are inviting and welcoming will serve us well. She is excited about helping us articulate our priorities and goals for the future in preparation for our search for our new minister.
