











| | RON SEBRING'S FAITH JOURNEY AND CALL TO MINISTRY - Ron's call to ministry came while he was a fishing guide at Yellowstone National Park at age 18. The journey that began there has led through many fields, both academically and in life situations. He found that his faith journey necessitated a balance between solitude and community; humble communion with God, open communication with others, and a profound sense of unity balanced with a spontaneous enjoyment of diversity.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND - Ron earned his A. B. degree from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma and his Masters of Divinity from the Graduate Seminary at Phillips University. He was ordained a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister in 1969. He earned his Doctorate of Ministry from the San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, California. While studying for his M. Div., Ron was a Student Pastor and Youth Director for two different churches in Oklahoma. From 1969 - 1971, he was Associate Minister for First Christian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. From 1971-1977, Ron was Minister of Mulvane Christian Church in Mulvane, Kansas. From 1977 - 1981, he was Minister of Central Christian Church, Kansas City, Kansas. From 1982 - 2000, he was Minister of Pleasant View Christian Church in Independence, Missouri. Ron has been the Minister of Northbrae Community Church since June 18, 2000. FAMILY AND FUN - Ron is married to Connie Sebring and they each have two children from previous marriages. They also have three grandchildren. Connie teaches aerobics and both Ron and Connie have a passion for physical fitness.
