Following a small coffee/lunch, Northbrae will present the full-length (2 hours) feature film Kintsukuroi.  It follows the Ito family from its prewar life in Japantown, to the concentration camps in the American west to the battlefields of Europe as it tries to survive one of the most shameful periods of American history.  it is a cautionary tale of how quickly our civil rights can be taken away by a government that makes decisions based on racism. It was produced and acted by local volunteers from the Bay Area Japanese community.
