The Sunday Night Book Group’s next selection is The Sentence by Louise Erlrich. It is a novel about an Ojibwe woman named Tookie who works in a small Minneapolis bookstore and is haunted by the ghost of an annoying customer. Infused with autobiographical allusions to author Erdrich’s own life, the novel explores spirituality, bookstores, stories, and current events as symbolic of the human experience.
